The glitzy lights of London city were in view for the official launch of new men’s grooming brand V76 by Vaughn on Monday, February 13.

The leading lights of the UK hair industry were welcomed with a trio of specially-designed drinks for ‘Cocktail Hour’ at the 100 Room, bar and terrace, ACE Hotel, Shoreditch.

The founder of the prestige brand, Vaughn Acord, flew in from his New York base to bring the brand to life, in front of a VIP audience that included key press, digital influencers and celebrities from the fashion, film and model world.

Opening the evening, the president of V76 By Vaughn, Reuben Carranza introduced Vaughn Acord to the floor, while also offering an insight to the men’s grooming market and of course the products gifted to everyone.

Taking centre stage, Vaughn took his audience through his career moves, from walking global fashion runways to becoming one of the most sought-after authorities in men’s grooming. The son of a barber, his interest in hair peaked at an early age, and he gave his first haircut as a teen in 1976.

Vaughn quickly found himself behind the chair grooming a loyal list of clients and working behind the scenes with the likes of Annie Leibovitz, Robert Maxwell and the late Herb Ritts. His current client list includes names famous all over the world – Bruce Springsteen, Richard Gere, Daniel Day Lewis, Tom Brady, President Bill Clinton, Aston Kutcher and Al Pacino.

Focusing on the line, and its development, Vaughn introduced the four distinct categories that celebrate the diversity of men’s grooming in a modern, accessible way.

Taking a modern approach to formulations, ingredients and performance, Well Groomed, Boldly Barbered, Face Forward and soon Gifted Man, make up the line in its entirety, capturing every element of men’s grooming.

Presenting the V76 man, Vaughn took inspiration from the new British gent, with three key trends, while working with longer-length hair as focus for transformation grooming.

True to form, for audience members who needed a little extra time to ask questions following the presentation, Vaughn leisurely enjoyed speaking with everyone as music played on, allowing guests to enjoy the incredible city skyline at night.
