Candy-coloured bobs, geometric wigs and floor-sweeping fantasy looks made this year’s L’Oréal Colour Trophy event one of the most memorable yet.
The glittering grand final of the annual event was attended by some of the most revered figures of the hair industry on June 3.
More than 1200 people within the hair industry attended the event at Battersea Evolution in London for an overwhelming night of glitz, glamour and seriously eccentric runway looks.
Hosted by former TOWIE star Mark Wright, guests witnessed the central stage come alive with the most breath-taking lighting, enthralling stage effects, chest-thumping music and mesmerising hairdressing talent.
Having wowed a stellar line-up of judges, Sinead Kelly, London, scooped the coveted 2019 L’Oréal Colour Trophy – the industry’s longest running hair award.
Meanwhile, talents from Aberdeen-based Linton and Mac were awarded second place while staff from The Colour Room, Stockport, followed closely behind by seizing the third place prize.
The highly anticipated Men’s Image Award was won by the ‘Godfather of hairdressing,’ Trevor Sorbie, London.
Celebrated runner up in this award was Mr Face, Brighton.
The L’Oréal Colour Trophy Regional Awards were presented to all eight regions by Adam Reed from hair brand Percy & Reed and Siobhan Jones from Rose and Wild.
The 2019 winners will now embark on a year filled with amazing projects including a creative photo-shoot with an online or digital title and a host of invaluable support and opportunities along the way.
