A fleet of UK hairdressers cycled from London to Paris to raise awareness for the blood cancer charity, Bloodwise

Simon Hill from SESH Hairdressing in Leith, Edinburgh, alongside Medusa’s Colin McAndrew and many others raised over £1,500 through their efforts.

Simon said, “We all have a responsibility to give back and by taking part in things like this cycle is not only an incredible way to highlight a worthy cause and raise money for the charity, it also pushes you as an individual.

“At SESH Hairdressing giving back is something we are really passionate about and it is at the forefront of our brand. It is an honour to help this outstanding charity.”

The trip began on Thursday, September 19 and concluded as the group reached the Eifel Tower just three days later.

Day one saw the hairdressers cycle from Eltham to Calais, then from Calais to Abbeville and finished their coarse, from Abbeville to Beauvais on the third day.

The team spent months prepping for the gruelling journey by cycling around Scotland to ensure they were ready for the 240-mile challenge.

Bloodwise, previously known as Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research, is a cause close to Simon and Colin’s hearts, and the pair smashed their donation target of £1,500.

Currently, the total raised sits at £1,530 and may well increase as Simon spreads the word.

So far this year the team has raised a staggering £50,000.
