Based on the play on words of the National Health Service, (NHS), National Hair Sunday has been unveiled by the duo in order to give back to those working for the NHS and battling the COVID-19 crisis on the front line.
Nick and Royston realised very early on just how crucial the front line workers were to the fight against the global pandemic and with many workers working around the clock, they deserved to be rewarded and treated once lockdown is lifted.
The duo are asking salons nationwide to open their doors on the first Sunday after the lockdown guidelines are lifted and provide as many NHS front line workers as possible with complimentary hairdressing and an opportunity to relax as a thank you for their unwavering support to the nation during these unprecedented times.
“We want as many salons as possible to join us in showing our appreciation and thank you to those invaluable frontline NHS workers,” says Royston. “The response from salons all over the country from Scotland to the south of England, salons have been getting in touch. I know as an industry we will make this a day to remember.”
With salons signing up around the country, from Moray in the very North of Scotland to 100 strong London and southern based salon group Rush, Nick and Royston are urging all salons and stylists to get involved by registering their interest on www.nationalhairsunday.co.uk. The date for the NHS will be announced as soon as government lockdown guidelines are relaxed, however this is confirmed as the first Sunday after restrictions are lifted.
