Fifteen years ago, SESH Hairdressing opened their doors in the heart of Leith and in 2019 the team are celebrating their fifteenth anniversary with a party for clients, friends and family at The Old Dr Bells Baths in Leith, Edinburgh.
The night got off to a great start as salon owner, Simon Hill welcomed guests with a glass of fizz as they arrived and introduced the entertainment for the evening, Gingzilla, local band The Jammy Devils and Scottish DJ, David Elder.
The award-winning and locally renowned band, The Jammy Devils took to the stage and performed to the bustling crowd that was eagerly anticipating the night ahead.
Simon and his team worked the room and created a buzz for the auction that lay ahead.
Once The Jammy Devils concluded their set on stage, the internationally renowned Gingzilla arrived and blew the crowd away with her incredible drag performance with a nod to SESH Hairdressing and the last fifteen years.
Performing an array of tracks from New York New York to Gangsters Paradise the crowd loved every minute of her outrageous performance.
As an inclusive salon, the entertainment worked in harmony with SESH ethos.
Before guests continued to dance into the wee hours of the morning, Simon took to the stage and assisted Gingzilla in hosting the auction, which raised an incredible amount for their selected charity.
The prizes included one years worth of haircuts at SESH Hairdressing and an overnight stay at the Malmaison Hotel and a four-course tasting menu at Borough Leith.
The combined total raised was a phenomenal £2,230, and as this charity is very close to Simon and SESH, it was an honour for them to be able to give back and celebrate simultaneously.
Simon Hill, owner of SESH Hairdressing said, “To celebrate fifteen years in business is a wonderful feeling.
“I am so proud of my incredible team and of course eternally grateful to our clients that have allowed us to continue.
“I am so honoured that we are in a position to host a fantastic party to celebrate with our clients, family and friends, and also generate such a great amount in donations for a charity that means so much to us.
“Here’s to the next fifteen years!”
